Twenty-four years ago, a tight-knit team formed the backbone of the California branch of a major Chicago-based commercial printer. Our client base was different than the rest of the offices. We were heavy in Tech and Video Games. Over time, our path began to diverge from the rest of the company. As the video game and Tech industries exploded, our focus naturally shifted to meet the needs of that fast-growing market. In June 2001, driven by a shared vision and entrepreneurial spirit, we took a leap of faith and launched Pacific Color Graphics.
In our early years, we specialized in video game and software packaging, riding the wave of a booming economy. With rapid growth came new people, new capabilities, and expanded production capacity. Commercial printing was our foundation—but we never stood still. As the market evolved, so did we.
While we always offered branded merchandise, it began as an add-on service. That changed a few years before COVID when we saw a growing need for company stores—a streamlined solution for managing print and promotional inventory without the overhead of in-house warehousing.
Then came COVID. Like many, we faced uncertainty. But thanks to our work with essential industries, we stayed open and helped our clients navigate the same challenges. As others scaled back, we adapted—pivoting quickly to support virtual meetings, work-from-home kits, and new communication tools. And we didn’t stop. As the world reopened, demand for seamless, secure, and scalable fulfillment only grew. So we grew with it.
Today, Pacific Color Graphics is a global operation with production and fulfillment capabilities across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Our company store platform has become more powerful, data-secure, and customizable than ever.
At our core, we’re creators. Whether it’s a digital marketing campaign, a fully branded company store, or a show-stopping trade show booth—we’re here to help our clients bring bold ideas to life.
WE’RE AN ALAMEDA COUNTY CERTIFIED GREEN BUSINESS
Pacific Color Graphics is proud to be an Alameda County-certified Green Business. The Green Business certification in northern California is more than just a label. It’s a cooperative effort among businesses to develop sustainable, ecologically friendly practices, with measurable standards.
In the printing business, the potential for environmental waste and pollution is enormous. Conscientious management of our consumption of energy and ink, paper, and other materials shrinks Pacific Color Graphics’ carbon footprint.
In recent years, we’ve reduced our reliance on virgin fiber paper and increased our use of recycled paper products. Solar panels on the roof of our plant also provide a good deal of clean electricity for Pacific Color Graphics’ operation.
We’ve worked very hard to make our production processes as sustainable as possible, and this certification recognizes that our work has made a difference.
